Energy and Utility Metering: Energy Insight installs new meters where applicable, and integrates to existing meters and data systems where applicable

Integration to Existing Systems: Energy Insight can integrate its real-time energy metering systems to the customer’s existing supervisory and control systems where required.

Data Collection and Viewing: Energy Insight designs and installs a suitable data collection system for the site to collect data from metering devices. The acquired data will be stored in a database. If the meters provide real-time values of variables (e.g. power, voltage, current, frequency), real-time data can be acquired and stored in a real-time database. Historical data will be stored in a data historian. Once the energy or utility consumption data has been acquired and loaded in a database, it can be viewed by means of graphical displays. Energy cost saving opportunities can usually be identified from such viewing.

Measurement & Verification: Energy Insight can provide energy metering solutions to a customer to determine his baseline for Eskom’s power rationing program, and for measuring and verifying his compliance to this rationing program.
